Marriage made in HMKEWS
A wedding was performed at the Mathur Bhavan for the first time in HMKEWS history. HMKEWS provided the location and monetary help to Kalpana Mathur so she could perform her daughter Vichita Mathur's wedding on August 29. HMKEWS wishes the couple a happy married life, and feel blessed they were able to provide assistance when needed.
Important Membership Changes
The Mathur Bhavan is planned to serve as Kayastha Convention Center.The Center needs improvemnts, maintenence and updates. Thanks to financial support frpm the biradari members. Because of the substantial costs involved, it has been recommended the membership to pay annual dues. Annual dues for a couple is Rs 300 and for Individual Rs 200. NRI members, for couple is Rs 1500 and Rs 1000 for Individuals or $20/$15. We seek cooperation and request all biradari members to enroll as members. The dues can be paid by cash/check for HMKEWS to the Treasurer Mr. Kiran Kishore. We look forward to your continued support!

HMK Directory Released
New HMKEWS Directory was released by Mr. Vijay Mohan Lal, President HMKEWS on May 12, 2016. It is available at a cost of Rs 50 to all members. Mr. Prem Kumar s/o Anjani Pershad,passed away suddenly due to Cardiac Arrest on May 19, 2016. He was a highly successful Chemical Engineer and retired as General Manager of IDPL. He was always loving,helpful and his advice was always sought by his family members and friends. He will be sadly missed by the Kayastha community.

Dr.Sujeet Chand s/o Late Prem Chand made a donation of Rs. 16 lakhs to the HMKEWS. The HMKEWS is grateful for this generous donation. Being a non profit organization donations are needed to run the programs benefitting the community. Dr. Sujeet is Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for the Rockwell Corporation and resides in Wisonsin, USA.

Dr. Ram Pershad Passes Away
Dr.Ram Pershad passed away suddenly on March 6, due to heart failure. He was a very prominent Physician in Hyderabad, having practised for over 55 years. A great loss to the Kayastha community. May his Soul Rest in Peace.
